Family Reunion

Hey everyone!
Been busy lately with flying and ClubZ!, etc., so I havent posted in a while!
(Happy birthday Real estate girl!) I know that family reunions can be boring and nothing could be boringer than looking at pictures of someone's family reunion.
But, I really enjoy going to this one every year! It is a lot of fun and every one is happy to see each other and they come from all over! NC, TX, AL, and GA! We all get NAKED! (naw, that's just to keep ya'll interested). The five old people in the one picture is my Dad's brothers and sisters. My Dad, Harold, is the one in the middle and that is his twin brother Harry on the right. All still alive and doing quite well considering that my dad and his twin brother are the youngest at 78! The other pics are of us enjoying the food, football, and wonderful fellowship of family reminiscing! The dude with the gray beard is my cousin Jeff whom I havent seen in a long time and I really enjoyed talking with him about old times. My cousin Micheal Anne is in the foreground and is about to be an empty nester. They once skateboarded down Columbia DR. in Decatur! (my family was there before it was hip!)
Robby and Abby look like they are having a GRAND time, don't they? Yes, that is me getting ready to launch one of my patented family reunion long bombs! We play horse shoes, too! The food is wonderful, can't ya tell? Thanks for hanging with me as I post up my reunion pics! It was another fun year.....can't wait till next year!

Jankin around with Jankinaround

Last weekend was great! Both kids were out of town (don't get me wrong I love being with the little ones), but me and Jules had Friday night and all day Saturday and Saturday night alone! We cooked out, watched a movie, slept late, piddled around the house Saturday, and I washed and changed the oil in the 'stang. The car was lookin good so we "saturday night go to ridin" in the convertible. We went out to eat at O'Charley's (very good) and then took a nice ride around the lake. She just couldn't pass by her grand parents' house so we stopped by for a visit with MeMa and PoP! I was nice enough to get up early Sunday morning to go to early church with her (led the choir wonderfully) and then we went home, ate sandwiches and took a NAP!
So, let me recap: Friday night stay home with my best girl, Saturday night eat out and cruise the Lake Jodeco strip with my best girl, and sunday go to church with my best girl! Barney, I'd say that was a great weekend! Thanks Jules, I love you and you're fun to hang out with! P.S. Thanks for buying me that car!

Dog

This is our dog Jenny. She has gender and species identity confusion. She hikes her leg when peeeing in other people's yards as if marking territory. She licks her paws and wipes her face like a cat. Here she is lying on her back like a cat in the sun! She can "speak", roll over and do other dog tricks. She has a stuffed bear that she manhandles on the floor like a male dog. (I won't get graphic but ask Red Ranger about it.) I guess she is really the best of all worlds except we can't go off and leave her for more than a few hours. She will let us know that she is mad by turning over the trash.
Abby named her Genevieve when she got her for her seventh birthday and we call her "Jenny" for short. I thought that was pretty smart for my seven year old daughter to name her french poodle a french name! We have now had her going on eight years! Hopefully this will be her dog (really the family dog) that she visits while at home from college!
When I was twelve my parents gave me Otis who was my dog up until one week before Robbs was born! He knew that he had done his job as my buddy and companion and checked out when he was confident in my ability to love my son. What a Dog... I once told a girlfriend of mine that I liked Otis better than her! (This was not Julie!)
I love dogs!
